1 Up, 1 Down

Busy night for the boys. Kim & Duncan went to the Reds game (KidGlove Game for Duncan's Team). Griffin had practice. Cameron had to work. And... Paxton & Holden each had games.

Paxton's Rockets took on the Covedale Rockets. And folks, for the 3+ innings I was there, the Rockets looked really good. When I left, the Rockets were up 4-2. Later on in the evening when I looped back with Pax, I learned the Rockets had one of those tough innings after I left. Sorry to say, the Rockets went down 8-4. Paxton had his head high though, trooper that he is (nothing ever seems to get that kid down). He felt great about how the team played. Truth be told, they really did play very well (save that 1 inning). And Paxton played a really solid game at shortstop as well. We'll just keep going back at it. Good things will come.

Holden's Highlanders had their way with the Cincinnati Buckeyes! Woo-Hoo!!! In an 11-4 romp, the Highlanders shook-off a dozen or so monkeys from their collective backs. As a whole, the team did great. By the time I had picked Cameron up from work and we made our way to the game, the Highlanders were just a few outs away from sealing the deal. We were there, however, to witness Holden crushing a ball to left-center for a stand-up double. Holden was also his usual rock-steady self at shortstop this evening. Way to go, Highlanders!
